* B.Sc in Science – Marine Science ( San’a University, Republic of  

   Yemen July 1994 with cumulative grade 2.74(Good)).

* Training course in Fish Taxonomy, Histology and Environmental 

 Control (Marine science station-Jordan university). 1993

III. Experience and Field Work :

                 Research assistance in the currently conducted research in Marine Science Station which include the following:

   Jan.1995:

          1- Participating in the collection of marine organisms

              for taxonomy and museum purposes.

          2- Sharing other scientific staff in the station in the

           monitoring program on different aspect of the coastal

           water of the Gulf of Aqaba.

          3- Man- made letter, tar ball, and plastic pellets distribution

           and accumulation on southern and northern beaches of

           Aqaba gulf.

  Jan. 1996:

          1- Phosphate (appetite) dissolution in sea water, magnitude and

          effect on the marine environment of the gulf of Aqaba.

          2- Trace element analysis in sediment and living tissue as pollutant

          indicators.

Oct. 1997  :

          Employee in Jordan University – Marine Science Station ( Chemistry Lab.   Supervisor ) which include :

  * Collection of different sample (water, sediment, invertebrate, and fish)

  * Measurement of physical properties ( water temperature, dissolve

     oxygen, pH, alkalinity, salinity, color, transparency, tide and current  

     speed ).

 * Analysis of sea water ( ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, silicate,

    total phosphorus, total nitrogen, fluoride, chlorophyll a, TSS, TDS, BOD,COD and

    investigation of microbiology( Total coliform and fecal coliform most probable number MPN) ).

* Analysis of sediment ( sedimentation rate, grain size, organic carbon,  total phosphorous, total nitrogen, hydrogen sulfide, Ignition loss, calcium carbonate,  and trace element ).

* Technical member in local tender committee till now.

      Training course in diving at the Royal Diving Center ( Novice Diver II (BSAC) ).

1-9 March 1999 :

          Participate in German Research Vessel  " Meteor "- cruise in the Gulf of Aqaba  and the Red Sea .

27Feb. to 8March 2000 :

Participate in Red Sea program (RSP) – Marine Science Station

(MSS) junior course at the Marine Science Station , Aqaba – Jordan. 

April 2000 :

-         Determination of total inorganic carbon and total carbon in sea water by using TOC  analyzer.

-         Determination of organic pollutants mainly oil pollution as total hydrocarbons by using  spectrofluorometer.

-         Training course in diving at the Royal Diving Center which  include:    

1-     Advanced Open Water (PADI) 5th of April 2000.

2-     Medic First Aid (PADI) 7th of April 2000.

3-     Rescue Diver (PADI) 8th of May 2000.

 9-11 April  and 21-22 August 2000 :

             Training on Gas Chromatograph ( GC Auto system XL ) at marine science  station under the guidance of Mr. Aiman Al-Rashdan from Perkin Elmer - Egypt.

24Sep. to 24October 2000 :

           Laboratory training in extraction and bioassay of bioactive compounds in Red Sea sponges at the institute for Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Düsseldorf – Germany, under the guidance of  Prof. Dr. Peter Porksch.

April 2001                 :

          Training course on high pressure liquid chromatograph (HPLC) system under the guidance of Spectrum Scientific co.- Amman.

11-12 June 2003           :

participating in a workshop on preparing a specification suggestion  for coastal and bathing water quality, which held in Aqaba under guidance of Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and  International Health Organization.

2-4 December 2003    :

          participating in a red sea marine peace park symposium, integration of marine science and resource management, which held in Aqaba .   

Feb. 2004                 :

      Ground water analysis ( pH, salinity, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, silicate, BOD, COD, and Fecal coliform ).
